Well summer is almost here, and I could not be an more excited. It’s kinda a bummer that I’m still working and can’t do everything that I was hoping, but hey it’s money. And I’m still doing a lot. So here’s my schedule tentative schedule for this summer:

June 21-23: Firefly Festival w/ The Festival
July 7: Warped Tour w/ American Ragged
July 12: Warped Tour w/ TBD
July 13: Warped Tour w/ TBD
July 14: Warped Tour w/ TBD
July 16: Warped Tour w/ TBD
July 19: Mayhem Festival w/ Keep a Breast
July 23: Mayhem Festival w/ Keep A Breast
In other news, after months of issues I’ve finally joined my Philly community and am street teaming with Actual Records. They are always throwing some of the craziest parties in Philly and I’m glad to now be a part of there team. Go like them on Facebook to keep up with their madness and find out what they’re doing in Philly.
My internship is still going, that place is kinda a mess, but I’m attempting to keep it together. It’s kind of annoying because sometimes I feel like I’m the only who cares about what’s going on. But hey, I’ve got a job and I’m doing a pretty damn good job. Anyway, we’re launching our new show Live @ Dobbs on May 27 at The Legendary Dobbs. So if you are in the Philly area come on out or stream online. The fun starts at 6:30 with Happy Hour all night long and we go live on the air at 8 PM!
That’s about it for now, but I will be updating this frequently (hopefully)!
This is pretty much how I feel right now! BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING WITH DOBBS RADIO! And do I have a big job! I am so excited, but holy shit do I have my work cut out for me. And I have just over a month. I’ll get into more details later, but HOLY SHIT! This is what I wanted and I can’t believe it’s happening.
I was wondering what happened to the Equal Vision Street Team because I hadn’t received a newsletter in FOREVER, and I thought they kicked me off or something :( Okay, not really, but I wasn’t sure why I wasn’t getting anything. BUT I just got a newsletter. I’m kinda bummed though cause I wanted to work the Say Anything show, but it’s the same weekend as Firefly which I am completely excited for… But I would have loved to promote Say Anything. They are also gearing up for Warped and I think it would be cool to promote for an actual label at Warped, but at the same time I kind of want to work with the same organizations I did last year… Hmmm decisions decisions decisions. It’s also annoying because I can’t work as many dates that I’d like to because of work :( Oh well I’ll make it work
Despite doing my job of booking acts for The Flagship Show on dobbsradio.com on Monday nights we still aren’t getting the audience we are looking for. It probably has to do something with the set up, and how we talk about our lives and random shit for a solid two hour and have maybe an hour of a dj set and artist interview and performance. It’s also hard to get in a good crowd when there is little knowledge of the artists performing, which is due to last minute planning. Which is partially my fault. But hey! We live and we learn.
ANYWAY, we are planning to keep The Flagship Show, but we are planning on moving that to another time and changing the Monday night show to Live on Dobbs. We will feature about 6 artist each week and do a brief Q&A and a 15 minute set. It’ll be more of an open mic style and with the right promotion this could be a big hit for The Legendary Dobbs and Dobbs Radio. It’ll be extended from the Happy Hour that is from 6-8, which we will make longer. The artist will then have a good opportunity to share their music with the people of Philly and the 100,000 people we stream live to.
I’m waiting for the okay, to get this shindig rolling for next week. Which will be a shit ton of work, but you’ve got to start sometime. So why not now?! This is big so I’ll most def be writing about this more, and how this goes.
In other news, the other show I work for, A Moment with Purple, is making some other changes. And I have no idea what will happen with that one. There are some things we can’t change, so I’m just gonna go with the flow and see where the wind takes me.
I have officially come to the conclusion that I completely fail at keeping up to date with my life and what’s going on… Despite that fact a lot of good things have been going on.
I do not think there is anything else that I can think of at the current moment. If there is I probably won’t post it for a month or so because we know how bad I am at updating this thing. Seriously, I would be so much more productive if I do what I say and need to do instead of sitting on my ass aimlessly staring at things contemplating life.
Love you all, meaning if anyone even reads this. Send me stuff and question I love hearing from people <3
For any of my followers that have volunteered with me on various tours in the past: I ran into a past volunteer last night at the P!NK show in Boston (Ingrid). She was out on the tour working for PETA with a couple of other girls. She also let me know she was doing ALL of Warped This Summer.
I…
This is really cool because I have volunteered with Heather before, and it’s great to hear that someone who has volunteered with her is now actually touring.

It’s been going well. Once I started my new job things got a little tough trying to balance everything, but I’m starting to get everything under control. For the past two weeks I have been on the shows both Monday and Tuesday night which is always interesting to say the least. I am enjoying it. The one challenging thing is expanding our audience because the station is still so knew. So that’s one thing I’ve been working on, plus getting people into the live audience show we have on Monday. Hopefully the bands I am starting to book will bring in good audiences. They have kinda been hounding me about this recently.
I can make spreadsheets through My Drive #holla
(Yeah I did just say that, don’t judge)
I seriously need my to get a new computer. I tried to go on excel to my make a spreadsheet for all the bands I’m interested in booking for the show, and then realized I do not have it on this one. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
After being really confused yesterday about school, and feeling almost hopeless after looking at a decent amount of schools and deciding that they weren’t what I want, I applied to USC. Yep that happened. I wonder what other impulsive things I will decide to do…
I’m at my internship now and holy shit has a lot been going on recently. I am sick (literally) and exhausted. Taking this semester off was supposed to give me a break, granted it is. But I’m still as confused as ever, if not more, about school. And what I want to do and go with everything right now. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Things are good and very busy to say the least. I got back from the south and before I knew it I got a job on Friday and then started last Monday at a car dealership. It’s not like it’s my life long goal to be working their, but it’s good money and I am doing something that will further me. In addition to working in their call service I am working with all of their social media, which is great and really fun. I kind of got thrown into it though and I wasn’t prepared to start working 30 hours a week so it’s a change, but I’m making it work. Monday and Tuesday I am still going to The Legendary Dobbs in Philly to intern for Dobbs Radio and that’s going well. Things are just a little complicated as my computer decided to die on me last week so I’m know sharing my moms. So currently I do not have pictures from this summer which I promise will be posted. Luckily, once I get my new computer I can transfer all my data over. So that will happen sometime soon.
In other news I went to the Radio 104.5 Winter Jam this past weekend and saw Tegan and Sara, a DJ set by Matt and Kim, Walk the Moon, twenty|one|pilots, and June Divided. Even though it was a cold day it was a great time with a lot of great performances!
I believe that’s it for now, but I’ll keep you posted on everything!
Oh, I almost forgot… I just completed my application for Drexel and I’m visiting this Friday and then I’m visiting Temple on Tuesday. So I guess that’s kind of big. Hopefully I’ll figure out where I want to go pretty soon.
